Hmmm...about LynneMenz.com. Actually, you would think that it would be about one person...Lynne. Of course it's not! LynneMenz.com is about resourcefulness: from the subjects I photograph to the recipients of my designs... including my invaluable clients, friends, family and colleagues who ALL provide me with constant inspiration, encouragement and constructive feedback.

LynneMenz.com is a resource to anyone who is in need of Custom Digital Designing...whether it's a Web Site, Greeting Card or Business Identity. I welcome you to check out my web site& on-line portfolio to learn more about my services and consider sharing your own adventure with me!

What is it? SnapinTime.com or SharingtheAdventure.com?

This site, formerly known as SnapinTime.com, originated when I was invited to visit 3 new miracles, just hours after their birth. With permission from the nursing staff and digital camera in hand, the proud parents invited me into the Neonatal Unit to document their first hours of life, including Mommy's 1st visit since giving birth. It was an emotional event that I felt so incredibly fortunate to witness. I wanted to share it with their family & friends across the country. That evening, I uploaded the images on a website I was working on and realized how valuable the Internet can be for special moments like this.

Since then, the site has evolved into an album of not only my favorite photos from my experiences and travels, but a portfolio of my creative works, including web site designs, card designs and slideshow presentations. My skills and services have progressively grown to creating images and processing them for both printing and the web.

Through this development, I now view each of my experiences, both personal & professional, as Adventures. Most of my clients are developing their new businesses and look to me to help create an identity that will help define who they are and the services they offer. It's an exciting experience to be part of their new venture.

And that's how Sharing the Adventure Designs has evolved. And yes, my office is adorned with jungle prints and a couple of wild felines to further enhance my creative spirit!

Opportunity Knocking!

In today's unstable job market, I seriously believe that we must determine what we are most effective at. And sometimes, that means taking risks that we wouldn't normally dream about. I was fortunate with a career in a safe & secure corporate environment in the early 80's but unhappy as it wasn't "me". Several years later, I was presented with an opportunity that would alter my career path 180º, but knew I would be making sacrifices in terms of salary, benefits and most importantly, lifestyle. Twenty years later, I realize it was the best decision I ever made. It taught me to face my fears, leave my comfort zone and realize my true place. By making these adjustments and looking at life as a series of opportunities, I could more comfortably and confidently push the envelope towards success & happiness.

Unfortunately, many who sought after a safe & secure career have become casualties of corporate America. Tossed aside after years of service, these skilled ex-employees are left searching for another business to take them in, but they're finding that competition is stiff. I'm so incredibly proud of those who leave the conservative approach behind and use their creativity to launch a new identity and business when most people their age are counting down to retirement. Facing your Adventurous Spirit head on and venturing into the unknown doesn't have to be scary if you have a good support team.

Lynne Menz...

In late 2002, I moved my home & office to the banks of Lake Ontario in Orleans County, NY and simultaneously took on the status of Landlord. This was a big move for me after spending the last 14 years in a condominium in Rochester, NY. Ahhh, what an adventure!

My clients are scattered throughout the US and as long as I have a high speed Internet connection, I can do business from anywhere. Furthermore, I pride myself in being available to my clients 7 days/week via e-mail or cell phone. My passion has always been in the Visual Arts and design, therefore it comes naturally for me to spend hours on the computer creating a new design or working on home improvement projects. Those close to me describe me as a Renaissance Woman due to the fact that I am involved in so many things on a daily basis...just to name a few:

  • Web Coordinator
  • Graphic Designer
  • Freelance Photographer
  • Creative Director
  • Project Manager
  • Independent Consultant
  • Landlord
  • Decorator, Upholsterer
  • Landscaper, Pool Girl & Snow Shoveler (seasonal)
  • Birdwatcher (I can't help it, given my location!)
  • Best Aunt in upstate NY!

My Values...

It's important to me that I create effective designs and web sites that my clients will be proud to promote and display. Communication is essential for me to provide quality service at an affordable price. My clients can expect:

  • Professionalism
  • Creativity
  • Prompt service
  • Reliability
  • Resourcefulness
  • Perfectionism (which can be a curse!)
